*The Mate Studio can operate without an external power source. However, when using SSDs that draw more than 15W in total. insufficient power may cause instability. For optimal pefermance, we recommend using a PD 3.0 Type-C power adapter (15W or higher), such as a standard phone charger.

Do not buy

Do not waste your money. My product would not work on a Mac Studio m3.
I attempted for several months to contact support for this product, they still have no solution.
I’m guessing this could be a couple of children in a garage selling a faulty product.

Good product that fits Mac Studio design

So, I bought this enclosure for the thunderbolt 5 capability and the integration with Mac Studio. In these aspects, I am very happy with it. The only small problem I have had is the placement of the rubber feet. Their round design complicates their placement.
I use the device to replace an ACASIS thunderbolt 5 enclosure. Clearly, I lose SSD bandwidth, but on the other hand, my desktop is in better shape with no more cables and boxes.
So I hope a V2 version that can handle around 5~6 Gbps bandwidth for the SSDs as ACASIS design and it will be perfect!
It's already a very good product and it can reach a top seller podium!

Unusable for many

Because of the design, I can’t use this device. My Samsung 990 PRO M.2 SSD’s won’t fit because the slots are mounted upside down in this device.

The SSD’s built-in heat sinks prevent them from being installed.

Very disappointing.

Regarding the M.2 SSD compatibility, due to internal space and structural design limitations, we recommend removing the SSD’s built-in heatsink before installation to ensure proper fit and compatibility with the device.
