Anyone using an Apple Mac Studio - or any mini PC, laptop, all-in-one, desktop PC equipped with Thunderbolt 3/4/5 or USB4 ports.

*Note: Users of PCs other than Mac Studio may need to purchase a Thunderbolt 5 cable separately for connection.

M.2 SSD Expansion up to 16TB
Features dual M.2 2280 PCle 4.0 x2 slots, supporting 32Gbps bandwidth and up to 8TB per slot, or 64Gbps and up to 16TB in total.

Speed Test

* Tested on a Mac Studio with Apple M4 Max chip, 64GB RAM, and 512GB internal SSD.

* Mate Studio tested with Crucial T700,1TB M.2 NVMe SSD.

* On Windows 11 systems, please enable "Write Caching" for the disk in Device Manager to ensure optimal read/write performance. For detailed steps, please refer to the user manual or contact our customer support.

Supplementary Power Port Ensuring Stable Operation of Power-hungry SSDs
If the total power demand exceeds 15W, use an external PD adapter for stable performance.

The Mate Studio can operate without an external power source. However, when using SSDs that draw more than 15W in total. insufficient power may cause instability. For optimal pefermance, we recommend using a PD 3.0 Type-C power adapter (15W or higher), such as a standard phone charger.
