Very first thing I tried: run LM studio with gpt oss 20b and 120b
20b: ez pz, 54tok/sec
120b: with memory split 64/64 and a little tweak to reduce RAM occupation, this beast gives me 46tok/sec with fully loaded vram and 10gb ram used by system total (LM studio said like 1gb went to RAM), leaving plenty of memory for your docker/project running
games: tried poe and poe2, run smoother compared to my desktop with ryzen 9 5900x and RX 6950XT (on same settings) and you'll barely hear it under full load
passmark gives pretty good results on CPU, GPU, and SSD, the only thing I haven't figured out yet is why memory latency is around 97ns (significantly drops score), but every other metric is 90-99%
Overall I didn't think it would be this much better than my 800W desktop monster, but it is and with a much smaller energy footprint and portable form factor
The only regretful thing is that it doesn't have PCIe 5 for SSD, but it's plenty fast as it is
This is probably the best piece of hardware you can get for this price

Beautiful, quiet, and powerful.
I got the 128 GB / 2 TB version, and I’ve been running local LLMs, including OSS 120B. The machine handles them with ease. Of course, with such a large model, there’s noticeable latency compared to a GPU-equipped PC - but that’s perfectly acceptable for this kind of compact system.

Only issue i ran into was that the computer shut down after running a while. Problem is fixed after reinstalling windows and drivers.

I bought the GTR9 Pro primarily as a way to learn AI. It has been an excellent investment. In less than a half hour I was running my first local LLM, and by the end of the day I had incorporated my own documents with RAG and was able to run models that would not fit on my nvidia 3090 24GB card. The GTR9 is an excellent value and BeeLink has hit a homerun.
